Sainte-Thérèse Chapel (Apprentis d’Auteuil)

Visit description

Located at the heart of the Apprentis d’Auteuil foundation, this chapel—built in 1925—is a place filled with history and gratitude. Erected at the initiative of Blessed Father Daniel Brottier, it is dedicated to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, whom he regarded as the protector of the foundation and of orphans.

The Art Deco building stands out for its magnificent stained glass and Mauméjean mosaics. It is a space of light and colour where every detail—from the roses in the windows to Father Brottier’s tomb—tells a story of faith, charity, and hope for young people.

Observe the sculpted Christ in Glory standing out against the silhouette of the cross above the altar.

Step 2: Sainte Thérèse’s transept

Pause before the saint’s reliquary beneath the stained-glass window illustrating her canonisation.

Step 3: Blessed Daniel Brottier’s transept

Discover Father Brottier’s tomb—the “father of orphans” and second founder of the foundation.

Step 4: The nave and the stained glass

Admire the rose window and the side chapels decorated with Art Deco mosaics.

Step 5: The patron saints

Finish with the monument of adoption and the statues of the young people’s patron saints, such as Joseph of Cupertino.
